Reflection by: Catherine Saas

"Golden" Ruth B.

We all have our own cross to carry. Name your cross. What is heavy in your world?

Our cross changes throughout life. Right now, in a time of isolation, it is easy to feel alone, to lose hope. God knows you are not weak or broken. You were called to carry your cross. Let your cross empower you.

How are you carrying your cross? How can you help others carry their cross? Who is helping you carry your cross?
I challenge you to listen and reflect as you hear the lyrics.

"Cause I'm not weak, I'm not broken, I am bold. And the fire you put me through turned me into gold.

I'm not done, I'm no loser. Watch me take on my bright future."

"He takes up the cross but in His heart He asks His heavenly Father to help Him carry it bravely.
Jesus, You carried Your own cross and You ask us to follow You on this path . Help us to take up the cross, and not to shun it. May we never complain or become discouraged by life's trials. Help us to follow the path of love and, in submitting to its demands, to find true joy."
