“Jesus, you stand all alone before Pilate.

Nobody speaks up for You.

Nobody helps defend You.

You devoted Your entire life to helping others

and now they don't seem to remember that

as they prepare to put You to death."

"In My Life" Johnny Cash

Jesus spent His time on earth serving others, teaching us how to live truly good lives and in the end He stood alone to accept death in order to save us all one last time. There will be times in our own lives where we must stand up for what is right even if we must stand alone. We must follow in Jesus’s path in our own lives.

The song that was chosen to go with this station was the Johnny Cash version of the classic Beatles’ song “ In my Life” which tells of a person looking back at their life and remembering the love in it. I ask that as you listen to this song, listen to these lyrics:

"All these places have their moments, with lovers and friends I still can recall, Some are dead and some are living - In my life I've loved them all"

As you listen to these lyrics try to imagine how Jesus felt as He stood alone contemplating His life before death. Imagine Him looking back at His life which He was so ready to give up for us. Reflect upon your own life and how you too can follow His life.
