"Jesus, Your body is failing underneath the torture, humiliation, and exhaustion.

You fall for the third time.

Somehow, Your love for humankind and sheer grit help You find the strength to get up once again.

You can see Your destination, the hill where you will be crucified, and You know this will be over soon so you push forward."

"Lift Me Up" Kate Voegele

Like Jesus, sometimes life knocks us down. Jesus looked to His Father to give Him the strength to get up and continue on. We should take His example in our toughest moments and turn towards God, not turn away.

Lord, help us to rise even when the road ahead seems impossible. May we find strength in remembering that Jesus got back up when he carried the cross for our sins. Jesus, lift us up when we face obstacles and remind us to always have faith.

“So can you lift me up, turn the ashes into flames, 'cause I have overcome more than words will ever say”

During this pandemic, we have been asked to sacrificed much of our lives. Some have given up weddings, graduations, proms, study abroad experiences, funerals, and jobs. It has affected everyone’s daily routine. We have taken on the responsibility of keeping ourselves and our loved ones safe.

In this time of loss and sacrifice, we may feel like Jesus, fallen to the ground with the weight of the world on our shoulders. But Jesus got up and continued on. It is crucial to look towards Jesus during this time. He sacrificed His life for us purely out of love.

Turn to Him. Pray to Him to help get you through this unprecedented time. Jesus loves you and will always help lift you up.
