"I'll Be There" Jess Glynne

Lord help me to be like Simon and help those I see in need. Help me to push down any excuses I might wish to make and offer myself to someone in need.

Do I stop and make time to help others? What excuses do I let get in the way? Who are the Simons in my life that help me?

“I'll be there. When you need a little love, I got a little love to share...I'm gonna come through. You'll never be alone, I'll be there for you.”

Lord help me to be like Jesus. Help me to accept help from others when I am feeling weak. Sometimes it can be just as hard to accept help as it is to offer it. Help me understand that it is not a sign of weakness, but of love and courage.

How hard is it for me to accept the help of others?

“When all the tears are rolling down your face. And it feels like yours was the only heart to break...When you still can't feel the rhythm of your heart...And you see your spirit fading in the dark.”

Listen to the lyrics of the song as you reflect on them and the questions above.

"As Jesus made His way Calvary, the soldiers became impatient.

To get Jesus to hurry, they randomly pulled a man named Simon out of the crowd to help Him.

Simon didn’t know Jesus.

He was unaware of what was happening and yet he stayed.

He offered up no excuses.

Simon helped Jesus in His greatest hour of need."
